Mission Statement

The American Diversity Project seeks to collaborate with innovative storytellers to build a record of American society through pertinent documentaries.

Annually, the American Diversity Project poses a theme to be interpreted by a select group of visionaries. Their interpretations and creative work provide a view of contemporary issues in American society. The project culminates in a gathering of the participants in a region related to the given theme.

Through photography, writing and new media, the American Diversity Project produces a document of American society. It is our goal to gather a lasting record of the historically significant issues that shape America and encourage discussion about the changes in our communities.
