Work in Progress
The Fox River is a sort of unofficial boundary between the Chicago suburbs and the towns that still maintain their own character. The river is commercialized and industrialized, but still maintains much natural beauty and character. Responding to the prompt of "Water and Oil", I found the river a suitable avenue to explore, from a topographical, cultural and environmental standpoint. I set out to document the landscape of the river, but to free the resulting documentation from my control using water and oil products as physical materials included in the image making process.
